BCL Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions (relating to all Beautyco.lab (BCL) course material available on the Virtual Academic System (VAC), as well as Face to Face Evaluations and/or Assessments, before beginning your Beautyco.lab journey:
BCL shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever or howsoever caused (whether arising under contract, delict or otherwise and whether the loss was actually foreseen or reasonably foreseeable), sustained by your reliance on, or interpretation of, the content of BCL Course Material, or for any other reason whatsoever.
- Course/System Flow
- You are required to work through BCL Course Material from beginning to end. Courses must be completed in the correct order as defined by the System Flow diagram on the VAC (see point , and at the end of these Terms & Conditions. Certification will not be provided unless all courses are successfully completed in the correct order.
- Each course is divided into Modules that are broken up into Lessons. Each Lesson must be completed. If any Lesson is missed, or incomplete, it can lead to the withholding of your certification.
- All Assessments within a course must be completed and passed in order for a course to be successfully completed.
- If it is found that a course was not entirely completed, or not completed in the correct order according to the System Flow, certification will be withheld until the courses are correctly completed.
- Certification
- All certificates will be provided digitally; no hard copies will be supplied.
- All individual course certificates hold an 18-month validity. After this time the course will need to be redone in order to receive certification.
- Certification will take place only when all modules have been completed and all assessments have been passed successfully. This includes any face to face evaluation and/or case studies required.
- Certificates will only be issued once a course has been paid for in full.
- Certificates will only be issued in the enrolled user’s name.
- Face to Face Practical Sessions: individual courses
The cost for a Face to Face Evaluation and/or Assessment is not included in the price of the Course. Payment is required before booking is secured. Please note the following COVID protocols:
- Temperature will be taken upon arrival.
- Masks need to be worn at all times covering mouth and nose completely. Should your mask not cover your nose, you will be asked to reposition it.
- No eating or drinking during practical sessions.
- No late arrivals will be permitted.
- No learners will be permitted to enter the training if they do not have a confirmed booking.
- Nails need to be free of all nail products prior to training. If a learner arrives with product on their nails they will not be permitted to attend training and will need to rebook for another day. This is due to the allocated time slots given to the practical sessions and there is no time to remove product.
- Face to Face Evaluation
All Face to Face Evaluations will be charged for. Payment must be made before the session is confirmed. This excludes product charge or any product used during the practical session. When booking your practical session you will receive instructions and protocols. Please see COVID protocols in point 3 above).
- Case Studies
Case Studies are completed and submitted in order for your Course to be completed. A Case Studies sheet needs to be submitted with photos as evidence of work completed. Case Studies will be checked by an Educator and feedback will be provided.
- Course Content
All Course Content (including, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software) remains the property of Beautyco.lab (unless expressly stated that it is not) and may not be reproduced without written permission of Beautyco.lab. All Course Content is the exclusive property of Beautyco.lab and is protected by South African and International copyright laws. Course Content can be changed at any time without prior notification.
- Competency Upon Course Completion
Learners are required to achieve a certain standard of competency in order to qualify as competent. All practical and theory assessments must achieve a minimum pass rate of 80% in order to achieve competency.
- Course Duration
From date of purchase / access you will have 60 days in which to complete an individual Course, and 120 days to complete Courses within the Full Qualification. After this period the course will be locked and you will need to email [email protected] to request an extension.
- Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services
Beautyco.lab applies a blended approach to learning via a unique Virtual Academic Centre (VAC); the unique combination of online courses and face to face evaluation will ensure that the Learner uses time efficiently, gains maximum knowledge, and accelerate their learning potential. BCL gives Leaners the space to grow and the skills to shine.
- Return and Refunds Policy
Beautyco.lab purchases are non-refundable. If you have a query, please contact Beautyco.lab on [email protected]. Please provide your BCL login details and the details of the Course in question.
- Customer Privacy Policy
Beautyco.lab (Pty) Ltd shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Protection of Personal Information Act of July 2021 (PoPIA).
- Accepted Payment Options
Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Beautyco.lab SA (Pty) Ltd. bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
- Card Acquiring and Security
Card transactions will be acquired for Beautyco.lab SA (Pty) Ltd. via PayGate (Pty) Ltd. who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
- Customer Details Separate From Card Details
Customer details will be stored by Beautyco.lab SA (Pty) Ltd. separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
- Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
- Country of Domicile
The Beautyco.lab website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Beautyco.lab SA (Pty) Ltd. chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 32 North Street Melrose Johannesburg 2196 South Africa.
- Variation
Beautyco.lab (Pty) Ltd. may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
- Company information

Courses must be completed in the correct order according to the Flow Diagram below, starting from the top and progressing down. A qualified Nail Technician is able to purchase all of the Systems. A Nail Therapist can purchase the first four systems only.
